Hey there! I’m Nitro. /grins.
*jokingly pretends to fly around by running in circles only to stop and heave chest* HELLO CITIZENS I AM NITRO!
/not even sure how to react, but eventually laughs. So you must be the Tyler I’ve been hearing about. /grins at the man.
Her eyes grew wide as she listened to his mutation. It always surprised her hearing about all the different mutations that were around.
“Wow!” she gasped. Vega would be lying if she said she wasn’t impressed. “My mutation is so boring.” she admitted. “I actually just recently learned that I was a mutant. I thought I was some kind of….freak show.” Crossing her arms, she clenched her fists.
“Hey,” he said quietly, grabbing her shoulders lightly and bending down to look in her eyes. “Never think that you’re a freak. Ever. And your ability is far from boring. You’re amazing. As long as you’re with the Brotherhood, you’ll always belong.”
Nitro was quite impressed with her demonstration, watching her skin knit itself back together with rapt attention.
“Very cool!” he said excitedly, grinning and looking back into her face. “I sometimes wish I got a passive mutation. I always have to watch myself.”
She cocked her head to the side in confusion. “What do you mean, watch yourself?”
“My mutation is very aggressive. I can cause explosions. If I get too angry, stressed or upset, it’s hard to control. If I am in a hot climate, it’s impossible to control,” he explained with a shrug. “I have to train and meditate everyday, and watch myself constantly.”

Just took a quick shower before bed. Now where did I leave my underwear…
I… uh. /cough/
They’re under my bed.
Oh, that’s right. Thanks, love. /retrieves them and pulls them on. /lays down on the bed and smirks up at her.
Coming to bed, dearest one?
Mutation. A word she didn’t come to understand until she was dead. She didn’t even know what a mutant was until recently. She, herself, felt she was some kind of freak, cursed to walk the world alone.
She paused and pulled out a small blade from her backpack behind her. Holding out her arm, she made a long cut across her skin. Her face remained unchanged as she sunk the blade inside. Only bits of dark blood dripped out onto the ground below. After a few seconds, her arm started to repair itself. The skin closed together, looking almost like new. Only a few marks were left this time.
“I…I can heal myself.” she said as she pulled the sleeve back over her newly healed arm.
Nitro was quite impressed with her demonstration, watching her skin knit itself back together with rapt attention.
“Very cool!” he said excitedly, grinning and looking back into her face. “I sometimes wish I got a passive mutation. I always have to watch myself.”
She tried hard not to blush as this man offered his hand so nonchalantly. Almost always, everyone’s first question was of her skin. Being black was on thing, but also being green? It’s like fate played a cruel trick on her.
She blinked up at him and took his hand and shook it meekly. “Thank you. Mine name’s Vega.”
“Well Vega,” Nitro said with a smile, shaking her hand lightly. “What exactly is your mutation?”
*Vega tugs at her shirt, trying to cover her visibly green skin*
Um, hello. My name is Vega, what’s yours?
/pays her strange complexion no mind as he grins warmly at her.
I’m Nitro, it’s a pleasure to meet you Vega. Welcome to the Brotherhood. /holds his hand out for her to shake.
Sunshine glanced around the bar, having not been to this one herself personally before. After arriving in San Francisco she had scouted out some of the closest bars to the Brotherhood for work but that was about it.
She took a few steps into the bar, eyes adjusting to the smoky interior as she did. At the sound of her name her head jerked in the direction of the voice. A few of the other patrons did the same before returning to their drinks. She smiled at the familiar face and met him half way.
“Hola che!” She punched him lightly in the arm as a greeting. Running into him was completely unexpected. At best she was hoping to kill some time while the storm passed and then walk the rest of the way back before it got too dark hopefully.
She leaned to the side, glancing behind him to figure out where he had been before. Her eyes landed on the pool table and then she straightened, looking back to him. “Haven’t seen ya ‘round really. How’s it been?” It had been a long time, longer than Sunshine had realized.
He rubbed the spot on his arm that she punched, though it actually hadn’t hurt at all and grinned widely at her. It had been forever since he talked to the young woman.
“Things for me have been…hectic at best, but I wouldn’t have it any other way,” Nitro replied with warm smile. He meant it. Even with the near constant headache he suffered from too much happening at one time, he was completely happy. “How about you, my lady?”
